An experimental procedure in behavioral neuroscience known as the Morris water maze is a method to assess the animals' ability of spatial learning and memory. In the experiment, test animals are placed in a pool filled with a pool of clouded water where they are supposed to swim, and scientists record the process how the animals find an invisible platform under the water. In this picture, two scientists are recording the behavior of mice in an experiment using the Morris water maze. It rains reminding us of dendrites of neurons. One woman puts up an umbrella over the other to prevent the recorder from being wet. Designed by TRAIS Co., Ltd. (Kobe, Japan)
