Abstract

The research evidence is that many organizations have not fully understood the value of using management training for strategic ends.

Six situations are defined where training aids implementation.

Each is supported by examples of successful training initiatives by organizations which have seen the potential of training as a tool of implementation.

Training initiatives of this type usually need a different approach than more traditional training for personal development. Advice is given on this approach.
