Abstract

Linkage analysis has become the key tool for the identification of genetic factors causing human disorders. Methodology has been developed and continues to be developed to analyze linkage data for a variety of disease models and pedigree structures. We present detailed examples of three basic methods: parametric (for both dominant and recessive traits), affected sibling pair, and nonparametric linkage.
