Abstract

The level of sequence homology between distantly related species facilitates the construction of a sequence-ready physical map. The map is rapidly constructed using a highly redundant restriction digest database and alignment of BAC end sequence to a reference genome, and can underpin the generation of genomic sequence or other experimental analyses.
