Abstract

A factor loading matrix is a matrix of coefficients (or weights) for a set of linear equations relating p observed variables to m factors. The rows of the matrix correspond to the observed variables and the columns correspond to the factors. The term “factor loading matrix” is also used to refer to the matrix that contains the correlations between the variables and factors.
