Silver nanoparticles on hydrotalcite

(Reusable heterogeneous catalyst for chemoselective reduction of nitro aromatics, deoxygenation of epoxides)

Physical Data: typical silver nanoparticles with a mean diameter of 9.5 nm are located on the surface of hydrotalcite. Ag/HT is dissolved in acidic aqueous conditions.

Form Supplied in: dark green dusty powder; typically containing 2.0 wt% of Ag; suspended in aqueous solution and is easily separated by filtration or centrifugation.

Handling, Storage, and Precautions: can be stored safely in a closed container under air but away from solvents and potential poisons such as sulfur-, pyridine-, and phosphorus-containing compounds.
