Examines and analyzes users' concerns with spontaneous termination of telecommunications exchanges still in progress. Defines the generic measure of QoS to be the probability of experiencing a spontaneous disconnect, together with quantifiers comprising various direct and indirect estimates of that probability and evaluation criteria based on such estimates.
