Summary

Chapter Twenty-two presents procedures used in calibration and testing of temperature measuring instruments as well as main terms applied in dissemination of International Temperature Scale 1990 (ITS-90).

The description of fixed points of ITS-90 above Argon triple point, is given with corresponding drawings, specification and attainable reproducibility.

Description of primary standards for interpolation between the ITS-90 fixed points concerns standard resistance thermometers and standard pyrometers. Working standards used for calibration and testing of thermometers are listed as well as testing of industrial thermometers is explained and described. A section devoted to other auxiliary equipment presents fixed points, testing baths, blocks and furnaces as well as black bodies and calibrators. Many line drawings and photographs illustrate the described devices.
