Abstract

This unit presents a method of immortalizing T cells by fusing them with a preexisting T cell line (the fusion partner) to form a T cell hybridoma. Support protocols present key elements in successful fusions, including the selection of an appropriate fusion partner and activation of the donor T cells. Other support protocols describe the selection processes used for hybridomas, including measures to ensure long-term stability and maintenance of cell lines.
