Summary
In the past 20 years, the study of the v-myb and v-myc viral oncogenes has greatly increased our understanding of the molecular mechanisms leading to neoplastic transformation of hematopoietic cells. This review dissects the roles of c-myb and c-myc genes in the regulation of hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis.
