Summary
Chapter 13 presents other mixture models for categorical data. It first introduces latent class models and then considers a related nonparametric random effects approach to modeling. It then presents established mixture models for binary and count data, using beta-binomial and negative binomial distributions for regression. The chapter finishes with an introduction to Poisson regression with random effects.
