Summary
Chapter 7 extends logistic regression for binary data to models for multicategory response variables. For nominal responses, it introduces baseline-category logit models. For ordinal responses, it introduces cumulative logit models. It also discusses other models for ordinal responses, such as cumulative link models, adjacent-category logit models, continuation-ratio logit models, and mean response models. Finally, it introduces generalizations of Mantel–Haenszel methods for multicategory responses and introduces discrete choice models.
