Abstract

The semi-adiabatic (isoperibol) solution calorimetry is a versatile calorimetric technique with a broad field of applications. The principles of the method and the common designs of the calorimeters are described. The Regnault–Pfaundler and Dickinson methods for determination of temperature change of the reaction/solution or the calibration are also described. Finally, applications of the semi-adiabatic solution calorimetry are mentioned.
