Summary
This chapter reviews the four basic types of reversible enzyme inhibition, namely competitive, uncompetitive, non-competitive and linear mixed-type. Equilibrium kinetic models are derived from first principles. Examples of the analysis of inhibition kinetic data for the determination of the inhibition constant, Ki, are presented. All analyses are exclusively carried out using non-linear regression techniques.
