Summary

In this chapter, a brief kinetic treatment of immobilized enzymes is presented. Kinetic models for the three main types of enzyme reactors are presented, namely batch, plug-flow and continuous-stirred. The integrated version of the Michaelis–Menten model is used as the basis for model development for batch and plug-flow reactors.
