Summary

Block copolymer adsorption from dilute solutions onto solid surfaces is discussed in Chapter 12. The discussion covers theoretical and experimental aspects of block copolymer adsorption kinetics as well as absorbed layer structure. The experimental techniques able to give information on the phenomenon of block copolymer adsorption, like ellipsometry, reflectometric techniques, scattering methods and surface force apparatus are briefly described. Representative experimental studies that give some insight in this complex but important, from academic as well as practical points of view, phenomenon are presented.
