Summary
Chapter 2 presents the methods available for the synthesis of linear diblock and triblock copolymers by cationic polymerization, mainly by sequential addition of monomers and the use of difunctional initiators. Methods for the synthesis of symmetric triblock copolymers, based on new coupling agents, are also presented. Representative examples, showing the synthetic abilities of cationic polymerization are given.
