Summary

Regression analysis is a technique for investigating relationships between variables; it can be used both for assessment of association and for prediction. We begin with a discussion of the basic ideas of simple regression analysis when only one predictor or independent variable is available for predicting the response of interest. A problem solving section appears at the end of the chapter.
