Summary

In this chapter we introduce five nonparametric tests that can be used for data with and without censored observations. We discuss the Mantel–Haenszel, test which is particularly useful in stratified analysis, a method commonly used to take account of possible confounding variables. We then discuss the problem of comparing three or more survival distributions with or without censoring. The chapter concludes with a problem solving section.
