Summary

In this chapter we discuss the parallel and distributed computation of load flow for the distribution system with respect to specific characteristics of the distribution system and based on a distributed computing system. Our discussion will focus on design methods for parallel and distributed load flow algorithms and their convergence analyses. The designed parallel and distributed load flow computation are simulated on a COW, and the unpredictability of communication delay is taken into account by designing asynchronous distributed algorithms.
