Summary

The final chapter is a review of some historical efforts to solve the long-pondered question of harmonic color combinations in painting and the crafts. Proposed harmonies are shown to be the result of cultural development, lacking a fundamental basis. Major harmonic concepts based on music, complementary colors, and intervals in color order systems are introduced.
