Summary

Chapter 13 underscores the power of being able to utilize the complementary nature of the infrared and Raman effects by simultaneously viewing these spectra presented together on the same scale. In addition, it carries out a complete review of the majority of the essential group frequencies discussed in Chapters 2–10 and prepares the reader for the third and final exercise section.

Exercise Section III consists of nine exercises (Exercises 11–19) that gradually become more challenging compared to Exercise Sections I and II.
