Summary

This chapter first introduces several types of image degradations. Then, it introduces some different types of image restoration techniques, including image restoration based on Fourier transformations, image restoration based on Markov random field (MRF) modeling, image restoration by robust local smoothing, and image restoration by nonlinear anisotropic diffusion filtering.
