Summary

After introducing the meaning of fuzzifications, the fuzzification method based on the α-cut representation is examined in detail. It is shown how this method is applied in fuzzy-set interpretation of possibility theory and in fuzzifying the uncertainty theory based on reachable interval-valued probability distributions. It is also shown how classical probabilities can be calculated for fuzzy events.
