Pharmacological treatment for psychotic depression

  • Protocol
  • Intervention

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To compare in patients with a psychotic depression the clinical effectiveness of acute treatment with pharmacological treatments, such as an antidepressant alone, an antipsychotic alone or the combination of an antidepressant with an antipsychotic.

When possible, to examine differences in treatment response to either treatment in relation to non-response to prior treatment(s) in the current episode.
