This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:
To assess the effectiveness of community-based interventions to prevent falls and fall-related injury in community-dwelling older persons.
The null hypothesis postulated is that interventions targeted at the population level do not reduce incidence of fall-related injury in people aged 65 years and over.
