Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

The primary objective is to conduct a systematic review of randomised clinical trials assessing the effect of TAE and/or TACE on overall survival in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. Secondary objectives are to assess the effect of TAE and/or TACE on tumour response, quality of life, and adverse effects and complications.
