This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To determine whether antibiotics are effective in the treatment of childhood LRTI secondary to M. pneumoniae infections acquired in the community. If they are, we will determine the most effective type of antibiotic and duration of treatment.
