Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

The objective of this systematic review is to determine whether acupuncture is more effective than: no treatment, 'sham' (placebo) acupuncture, and other interventions used to treat irritable bowel syndrome. We will also assess any adverse events of acupuncture in the included randomized trials.
