  2. Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To determine the best available regimen of antibiotic(s) in terms of control of postoperative wound infection control in head and neck cancer surgery. Does the use of a prolonged systemic antibiotic course improve the infection rate in patients undergoing major head and neck cancer surgery compared with a 24-hour course?
