Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

1) The primary objective of this review is to investigate the effectiveness of psychotherapy of any kind for depression in incurable cancer patients.
2) The review will also evaluate the effectiveness of psychotherapy on:

  • anxiety

  • general psychological distress

  • symptom control

  • quality of life

  • coping meausures for patients

  • physical symptom severity such as pain
