This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

The objectives of this review are to assess the effects of carotid endarterectomy plus best medical therapy compared to best medical therapy alone on the major clinical outcomes including death, stroke and myocardial infarction in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft with a carotid stenosis more than 50%.
