  2. Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

This systematic review aims to provide a comprehensive and reliable summary of the effects of erythropoietin and radiation therapy in the treatment of head and neck cancer.

The specific aim is to review randomised controlled trials, comparing the effectiveness of concomitant erythropoietin and radiotherapy with radiation therapy alone in the treatment of head and neck cancer.
