This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

This review will evaluate the possible effectiveness and safety of CMH to prevent abnormal bleeding after medical abortion. CMH is compared to placebo, no intervention or general non-specific treatment (such as vitamin) or haemostatic drugs.
