This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To establish the effectiveness of single agent and combination chemotherapy in the treatment of patients with metastatic or recurrent cervical cancer with regards to progression free survival, overall survival, adverse effects of treatment and quality of life (QOL).
