This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

  • To assess the effect of social (policy & legal), behavioral and educational interventions to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS, at a population level or in specific target populations in relation to improving coping strategies and increasing tolerance towards persons living with HIV/AIDS, compared with a control group .

  • To assess the most effective form of interventions to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS, at a population level or in specific target populations in relation to improving coping strategies and increasing tolerance towards persons living with HIV/AIDS, compared with a control group.
