  2. Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To evaluate the effectiveness of telephone-delivered interventions for people with a cancer diagnosis for improvement of symptoms associated with the disease and its treatment. The review will not evaluate triaging or monitoring care or treatment compliance. To determine outcomes, telephone intervention will be compared with either usual care or an alternative intervention.
