  2. Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

1) To provide an estimate from RCTs of the efficacy of medication in reducing trichotillomania symptoms.

2) To compare particular classes of medication in terms of efficacy and tolerability in treating trichotillomania.

3) To identify which factors (clinical, methodological) predict response to medication.
