This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

  1. To assess the blood pressure lowering efficacy of oral antihypertensive medication from different drug classes as compared to placebo from randomized controlled trials in adult patients with primary hypertension and obstructive sleep apnea.
  2. To compare the blood pressure lowering efficacy of different classes of antihypertensive medication from randomized controlled trials in adult patients with primary hypertension and obstructive sleep apnea.
