This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To assess the effectiveness of adenoidectomy compared with non-surgical management or tympanostomy tubes only in children up to 18 years of age with recurrent or chronic nasal discharge with or without obstruction, nasal obstruction only, recurrent acute otitis media (AOM) or persistent otitis media with effusion (OME).
