This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To review the evidence concerning the use of HBOT as an adjunctive treatment for necrotizing fasciitis (NF). Specifically, we wish to address the following questions.

  1. Does the administration of HBOT reduce mortality or morbidity associated with NF?
  2. What are the adverse effects of HBOT when treating NF?
