This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To determine the effect of acupuncture on mortality and morbidity in neonates with HIE.

The following hypotheses will be investigated:

  2. To determine the effect of acupuncture on the speed and extent of rehabilitation/disability (of HIE complications) in neonates with HIE.
  3. To determine the effect of acupuncture on quality of life.
  4. To determine the effect of acupuncture on other adverse effects.
