Abstract
This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:
To determine the effect of acupuncture on mortality and morbidity in neonates with HIE.
The following hypotheses will be investigated:
- To determine the effect of acupuncture on short-term (seizures, death) and long-term (developmental delay, visual or auditory impairments).
- To determine the effect of acupuncture on the speed and extent of rehabilitation/disability (of HIE complications) in neonates with HIE.
- To determine the effect of acupuncture on quality of life.
- To determine the effect of acupuncture on other adverse effects.
