This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

Primary Research Objective

To determine the effectiveness of organisational and professional interventions to improve the management and health outcomes of children and adults with asthma who present to the ED.

Secondary Research Objective

To explore factors that modify the use of evidence about asthma care in the Emergency Practice setting.
