Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

Primary objective:

1. To quantify antihypertensive drug effect on overall mortality in people 18 to 59 years with mild to moderate systolic or diastolic hypertension.

Secondary objectives:

2. To quantify antihypertensive drug effect on cardiovascular mortality and morbidity in people 18 to 59 years with mild to moderate systolic or diastolic hypertension.

3. To quantify withdrawal due adverse effects.
