Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To assess whether there is a therapeutic advantage (clinical efficacy and safety) to the continuous administration of intravenous concentration-dependent and time-dependent antibiotics versus the standard intermittent administration in patients with severe acute bacterial infections. Severe acute infections will be defined as any infection requiring intravenous antibiotics.
