Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To determine the diagnostic accuracy of capsule endoscopy for the diagnosis of oesophageal varices in paediatric or adult patients with chronic liver disease or portal vein thrombosis, irrespective of the aetiology.

To determine the diagnostic accuracy of capsule endoscopy for the diagnosis of medium or large oesophageal varices in paediatric or adult patients with chronic liver disease or portal vein thrombosis, irrespective of the aetiology.
