This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To assess the efficacy and safety of nipple-sparing mastectomy, areola-sparing mastectomy or skin-sparing mastectomy for the treatment of ductal in situ carcinoma or invasive breast cancer.
