This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To assess the effects (benefits and harms) of interventions for treating femoral shaft fractures in children and adolescents.

We aim to compare interventions within the following broad categories:

  • Different methods of conservative treatment
  • Surgical versus conservative treatment
  • Different methods of surgical treatment
