This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To assess the effectiveness of systemic antibiotics in treating CSOM. We will compare systemic antibiotics with no treatment, systemic antibiotics with aural toilet, systemic antibiotics with placebo, and different antibiotic agents.
