Abstract

  2. Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows:

To determine if adding an open laparoscopy to the diagnostic work-up of patients suspected of advanced ovarian cancer is more accurate in predicting resectability of disease than standard diagnostic work-up alone.

We will investigate how test accuracy varies in relation to FIGO stage (FIGO stage IIB until IV or only stage IIIC and IV) and who performed the laparoscopy, a general gynaecologist or gynaecologist-oncologist.
